INTREN was proud to be an event sponsor for TEDx StLouis Women on October 27th at the Peabody Opera House. Billed as the biggest women’s event in the St. Louis region, Loretta Rosenmayer, INTREN’s Founder and CEO, gave an inspiring introduction for Juliette Powell, a media entrepreneur/author who has consulted with such companies as the United Nations, Warner Brothers and Cirque du Soleil.

The event brought together 10 powerful and influential women and one male (who came out clad in red pumps to Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman”!), all focused on empowering women and inspiring them to take on leadership roles.

Supporting women’s foundations, organizations and events is nothing new to INTREN, a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certified company. They are proud supporters of the Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), YWCA, Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC), the Federation of Woman Contractors (FWC), Energetic Women (MEA), Women’s Energy Summit (WES) and the Women’s Energy Network (WEN).

INTREN also supports many regional-based organizations, such as Girls 4 Science, Girls in the Game, Turning Point and Home of the Sparrow.

That sense of service and mentorship is what drives Rosenmayer.

“I am passionate about lifting women up," said Rosenmayer. "Some women were not given the gift of a voice. I must speak and I must be bold and I must have courage when I advocate for other women.”

For her immense contribution to women, Rosenmayer has won FWC’s “Women’s Inspiration Award” and CFW’s “Outstanding Corporate Citizen Impact Award” in 2016 and the WBDC’s “Hedy M. Ratner and S. Carol Dougal Legacy Award” in 2015.  She also received the FWC’s President’s Award in 2012, 2009 and 2007.
