Congratulations to Tyler Herdendorf (Safety Manager-New Berlin, WI) and Mike Tilley (Safety Professional-Union, IL) who recently attained their Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
The Board of Certified Safety Professionals is recognized by over 60 countries and its certifications are accepted as the most recognizable and well-regarded in the construction and industrial industries. Tyler and Mike showed tremendous dedication by attending a week long preparation workshop and studying for many hours on their own time, all along testing each other's knowledge with hundreds of practice questions.
Tyler Herdendorf, is a graduate from University of Wisconsin Whitewater who interned with us during the summer of 2010, and then was hired on as a Safety Professional upon graduation. Tyler was recently promoted to Safety Manager in 2015.
Mike Tilley has over 16 years' experience in the safety profession and is an authorized instructor for: HZWOPER, OSHA 500 and NUCA Competent Person. In 1999 Mike began to work for an underground utility company in Arizona as safety director and where he sat on the board of directors for the Arizona chapter of the National Underground Contractors Association. In 2004 he accepted a position at Kenny Construction as Safety Manager moving him back to Illinois and by the winter of 2005, was managing the safety aspect of the ComEd "Summer Critical" work where he first learned of Trench-It. Mike has been working for INTREN since January 2015.
